Waning Crescent Moon

We are staring an hour earlier this morning as doing a full anti clockwise perimeter around Lough Hyne. The minute I hit the water I felt fantastic and I loved every stroke. I was in fabulous company as always and we kept together, so I caught lovely swimming action. Maria, Carrie and Declan all in their togs too. When we got to the gap we bumped into Aisling and Denise who were going around the island so we decided to join them. We even went all the way around the island back to the gap and continued to hug the shore back to the pier.

I did not want to get out but I was starving. I forgot to bring my food but thankfully there was a huge range of cakes etc which I scoffed. What a swim.

Turning the Plastic Tide

Congratulations to all at Baltimore Sailing Club who came up with a fantastic plan to ban single use plastic water bottles. All sailors have their own refillable water bottle. They write the name of each child on with permanent marker. The comador Nial O'Neil is putting up the Refill.ie sticker and Baltimore Sailing Club will be added to the Refill map along with other business in Baltimore. Well done to you all.
