The Geography and the fraying landscape of West Cork whichย  tails off into the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by a scattering of islands which constantly brave the elements, have informed and formed my career as a designer and an artist for over twenty years. My website lets you have a look at my current and previous work .

New Work

The last standing wogodenboat yard in Ireland is Hegarty's Boat Yard. It continues to be source of inspiration for my work. I have followed the re birth of two Baltimore built boats The Ak Illen and Saoirse. Since last summer I have been busy capturing the restoration of Tjaldur. I have loved every minuteย  of this new work as the colours, textures, forms and the light are just spectacular. It has been such a privilege to watch the skilled crafts men transform this beauty to its former glory.

195th Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition

In 2025 my painting of "Saoirse" was selected for the summer show. I was thrilled it sold on the first day, so fingers crossed for a sale of "New Life".

Many thanks to Liam and John Hegarty and all the crafts men at Hegarty's Boat Yard. To David and Emer Kelly for allowing me to paint Tjaldur.

Teddy O'Driscoll and his team who cut the ply wood for me and to my husband Richard and father in law Robert who help me select, oder and cut the wood for me to paint on.
