Waning Crescent Moon
The weather was forecast to be absolutely fantastic. I woke up expecting bright sunshine to be teaming out of my window, instead I could not see Sherkin as it was covered in mist. I was not feeling enthusiastic about the swim as we have been spoilt with lovely weather over May.
Once in the water I realise these misty days are magical, the water and the landscape are mysterious.
We meet up in the middle for a wee chat.
We get to the edge of the island.
I love these shots of above and below the water.
This shot captures the magic of this swim, with the water looking almost like snow.
We decide it would be rude not to go around the island.
The back of the island and its treasure of delights.
Aisling takes a shot of me in my new wetsuit at the gap.
We swam back along the edge the mist still covering Lough Hyne Hill like a veil of lace. I am not so bothered about the sunshine now.
