A wee swim in the afternoon is just magical. This day was a welcome calm, the weather has been very wild for weeks. Although thrilled to be back swimming, I have mixed feelings getting in as March is the coldest month in the water, I do have to push myself to get in.
We head over to the point along the edge.
Around the corner from the edge, is Aisling and I discovered this magical corner. All other swimmers would swim past this bit but for us it is filled with incredible visuals both above and below the water.
The water is murky so dissapointing, however something catches our eye an electric flash of blue diving in the water. It was a Kingfisher we could not believe it , and was too slow to take a photograph. It then just vanished. We were in awe. I always feel closer to nature when swimming and that was a special moment I will never forget.
I cannot keep up with Aisling as we turn back she is off like a bullet.
Just beautiful so glad I did that.
