A very different day to Friday, we are blessed with sunshine no wind and calm water. Perfect. Tracey is back for more along with a big gang of Lough Hyne Lapper’s.
I love the chat and craic we have before a swim, comparing layers seems to topic of the month. Sonia got me a new hat and Tracey has a new hat to stop that brain freeze. I have given in and am in my thicker winter wet suit
In all our various layers of lycra, rubber and neoprene, and some in just skin and togs, we wade on in.
Tracey said we will hug the edge, however she made a direct aim for the gap along with the rest of the swimmers and did not stop she was on a mission. I was behind her trying to keep up.
After a bit of chat, some are heading back, to the rapids and around the island. Tracey is up for the island, she is in for a treat.
Carrie is too in her togs!!
This is for Aisling who is incorporating these magical starfish into her ceramic sculptures.
Tracey swims effortlessly around the island.
A lonley bouy floats mid way in the water the light from above bouncing off it.
I catch the amazing Carrie on our way back to the car park. I am in awe.
Not forgetting the awesome Tracey, who said she was scared of the deep heading straight for it.
I swim between the two swimmers, enjoying every minute.
Whoop, whoop Tracey congratulations on your achievement in November it is pretty impressive, I knew you could do it and I can’t wait to see what you do now.
