A Friday swim after a busy week assessing students work and setting up Exhibition. What a relief to get into the water. I came out a very different person. Congratulations to Denise who swam around the island after an injury to her shoulder. No photos of her as I could not keep up she was so fast. Whoop, whoop Denise as always just like the visuals you are such an inspiration.
Turning the Plastic Tide Tips
This is not a new tip, however my good friend and fellow Lapper Aisling has made a new discovery. Aisling bought a large Tupperware box for buying lots of fish from the market in Skibbereen. The fish monger filled the box with ice so Aisling has discovered this keeps the fish fresher for longer, with no leaking fishy liquids into her fridge. The plastic container can be washed and used again and again and again.
Aisling and I both teach at the West Cork Campus in Skibbereen. Our students from Level 5 Art and Creative Craft For Enterprise are having an End of Year Exhibition in the O’ Driscoll Building in the centre of town. The show is well worth a visit. To say we and our fellow teachers are proud in an understatement . Well done to you all.
