Third Quarter Moon

I was in London over the weekend, more on that @ end of blog. As much I love an injection of city life, I am so relieved to be back in beautiful West Cork and of course back in the water. These magical evening swims with the Lapppers are pretty special, and as always unique, after this one I did not want to get out at the end. I had so much fun, so many visuals especially swimming with Sally the dog.

Mrs Kelly's pier and a new railing is put in as the steps can be a bit slippy. Lovely to stop for chats and laughs too.

Super Garry, and his super dog, Sally. Garry completed his second Iron Man this time in horrific conditions in Yougal East  Cork, congratulations Garry, you are such an inspiration and Sally too.

Alice spots two seals on a rock at the gap, I am too late to capture them as they slip into the water when I try and sneak up.

Just fantastic.

Turning the Plastic Tide Tips

Back to London, I went over for the weekend, as my very good friend Courtney Darwent was exhibiting @ The House and Gardens Show, in the Olympia, Hammersmith. I was going to help her out, Courtney originally from London lives in Borneo Indonesia and had flown over to do her first ever show with her fabulous eco friendly, fun and very creative children's soft furnishings.

Courtney visited me last year and all of this was only a spark of an idea. It is incredible to see how much she has done in a year. All the fabrics are organic, cotton made from sustainable materials and produced in India by economically empowered women. Even the packaging is  recyclable and can be cut out and played with as masks, camp fires, trees and  animals fostering children imagination and encouraging good old fashioned play.

I am so proud of Courtney and I had such a brilliant time at the show. I met amazing people there and it took me back to my knitwear designer days exhibiting at shows like this. I came back feeling very inspired. Take a look at Courtneys  website. I am off to paint my living room!!
